Cascade Pro Canister Filter Series; Two (2) Year Limited Warranty

The Cascade Pro Canister Filter Series (models CCP20, CCP21, and CCP22) includes a two (2) year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty is valid only for normal, non-commercial aquarium use and service, for a period of two (2) years starting from your original date of purchase.

This warranty is subject to: proper care, adequate maintenance and proper use of the product and its parts pursuant to the product instructions; valid proof of purchase; and registration of your product pursuant to our warranty registration instructions within one (1) month from the date of purchase.

If a covered component within your filter proves to be defective during this period, we'll replace it free of charge, at our discretion, once we receive valid proof of purchase and adequate documentation specifying the claimed defect.

What This Warranty Doesn't Cover:

This warranty doesn't cover:

  • Normal wear and tear of the product or its parts, such as the impeller assembly and motor seal ring.

  • Damage of parts that haven't been properly used, maintained or installed according to the product instructions.

  • Any consequential loss or incidental damages, including loss or damage to livestock, personal property, or any other animate or inanimate objects, regardless of the cause. This warranty is specifically limited to the replacement of the covered component or the filter unit itself.  This warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty of this product.  In no event shall Penn Plax, Inc. or its affiliates be liable for any punitive, exemplary or consequential damages, anticipated or lost profits, incidental damages, loss of time, or other indirect losses or expenses that arise from any cause relating to the product.

 

Conditions for Warranty Coverage:

This warranty is only valid under the normal operating conditions for which your Cascade Pro unit is intended. It doesn't cover damage caused by:

  • Unreasonable use

  • Negligence

  • Improper installation or improper or inadequate maintenance

  • Tampering

  • Abuse

  • Commercial use

 

How to Make a Warranty Claim:

Before requesting a replacement under warranty, please make sure you've followed all the setup and maintenance instructions provided with your Cascade Pro Canister Filter. If you're unsure about anything, please contact our customer support for assistance.

Please note: This warranty is only valid with proof of purchase from an authorized dealer of Cascade Pro products.

Your Statutory Rights:

 Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the limitations or exclusions herein may not apply to you.  You may have other rights which vary from state to state.
